I'm in the process of getting a Icom 720. The radio has gotten one from a SK Estate. I've put a bid in for it.
I have to get an antenna tuner and artificial ground
device. I'm going to try an load up the aluminum frame. I do not have a balcony. If that works, I'll be pleased. If not I'll fire out a random wire out the window and try and get it into the tree about 20 ft way. The tree is about 80 ft high. I will have to find a powerful sling shot to shoot out a weighed end of the random wire. IE a wire loop in an ice cube. Ice cube melts, and wire is fired from sling shot.

Use a fishing reel on your sling shot,then use the line to pull your wire over tree.
