Well from my Astatic Mic wiring handbook it would be: White ~ Ring Shield & Blue ~ Sleeve Red ~ Tip Red ~ Tip Yellow & Black ~ N/C High-Z use Amplified Mic Only! Hope this help's, Lon ~ Tech808 N9CEF ~ EN50mk

I discovered that out in my research but what is the ring, sleeve and the tip of the mike? that is the main part I don't understand. I would like to hook up a newer mike, or can that be done?? |

Thanks Scrapiron63 it looks like the sleeve could be the shield. Yesterday I got the radio to key up but no sound would transmit.when I woulk key up the channel would go quiet so it is transmitting but when u talk in the MIC(S) u can not hear your voice i think i may have the xmit and the ptt wires reversed Thanks too all |
