I have a Johnson Messenger 250 and the stock hand mic has 5-wires and 1-unshielded wire. I would like to use another mic with this radio but so far only the stock mic will work on it. The wires are pin 1 white - pin 2 red - pin 3 black - pin 4 yellow - pin 5 blue - and a bare wire. One of the pins is a hot +12 volt pin on the radio itself. It looks like you need to use a mic with 6-wires that uses a +12 lead. Any info?
