Could Copper publish a list of amps they sell in their on line catalog as to which ones can be driven safely with medium power and high power radios,it would save a lot of time and money for the customer and I think he would be alot happier.Imagine this,a post read can I drive a palomar 225 with my 2970,a guy e-mailed me that he drives a ts100 with a 2510,helLOo.No wonder we see low drive amps smoked with 100 watt inputs,I think it's just plain ignorance on the part of the buyer or"I just gotta have that big amp, hahahaha more power, more power"(with out thoroughly checking out the stats,I might add).Thank you,Bigbob

Bigbob,

Copper already has this!

Look to the left of this column and scroll to the bottom where it says Copper's Main Page.

Click on it.

GO the the Amplifier section's.

Click on the BASE or Mobile or CW or HAM and it will take you to that page.

It will show you every Amplifier that Copper sells and will give you the information on each amp and what it takes to drive them.

High and Low power models.

See Copper already solved this problem for you!

Thanks Lon,I must've had a brain fart,duh.But seriously,307 told me something that isn't listed,the dx2517 can drive the klv-1000p at a slightly lessened output 600watts on am 1000 on ssb,not bad,although it suggests a minimum drive of 60 watts.But thanks again Lon,I just don't know what I was thinking.
