Has anyone had a chance to play with the Albrecht AE 485 s? The pic. on the box has single pot for squelch but also has a sticker that says "25 W variable". The radio has DBL pot at the SQU. I have the manual but my german is quite poor[some would say the same 'bout my englas]. The MIC pinout is not the same as the MAG 257 and with the hot pin I do not want to fish. I want to put the K40 SP MIC. on this radio but I can not remeber all of the details for K40 install. Thank you in advance for any advice/info |

Some more info to help you help me: Everyone tells me that the mic. should be the same as the MAG.257 but I do not think so. The Albrect will RX with no mic. witch is how I got it. and the box shows A mic. with A tone/call button. I think it uses A diode and resistor to tie the RX NC and then one pin would control TX-RX. freeing up A pin for the tone call button. |

[? tone-call if grounded?] Pins start at 1 from right of the indexing bump in the bottom of the mic. con. and go xclockwise to pin 5 around the outside, pin six in the center.
