Hey Lon. Seems you're the man on the mic's. Well I've looked all over, done searches, called friends, made bogus threats and blackmailed small children, but I can't find this one ANYWHERE! Can you please help me on this one? It's a dak IX with the 2 tubes and the transistors in the other section of the board. The mic is an Astatic Siver Eagle, the radio is 4-pin. I was told it was the same as a Midland, but when I wired it up that way it sent audio throught the radio under recieve without keying the relay to transmit!!! lmao! I think "dax is the devil!!" so any help would be great! Thank you and thanks for all the help u give on this site. Jason

Harve, are you sure that's right? I DON"T know, and that's why I posted this message, but that combination didn't seem to work either. Isn't the red wire the TX lead? On the inside of my DAK, the #4 pin is not connected to anything. If the red is in fact the transmit lead, then the radio wont key up. The fact that the relay doesn't "click" now, when I key the mic further proves this theory. I, in no way, am trying to insult you or your knowledge on the subject of our hobby, but this configuration didn't give the proper results. If you or anyone else has a wiring diagram or pinout for this mic (silver eagle) to this radio ( dak9), any info would be greatly appreciated... Jason

3-RELAY
4-TRANSMIT

Jason, the DAK-IX was put out by Scott(M.H Scott)
if you want to research it? All the info I have says that this is the right wiring for Silver Eagle to DAK-IX.

Static_killer77,

Unit199 is 100% corrrect per the Astatic Wiring Handbook.

DAK MARK IX & DAK MARK X

PIN #1 ~ WHITE = AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ SHIELD = GROUND
PIN #3 ~ BLUE = COMMON
PIN #4 ~ RED = TRANSMIT
BLACK & YELLOW N/C (Not Connected)

Hope this helps,

Lon
