What type of wire should I use to ground the equipment to the ground buss I mounted near the equipment. Is 10 or 12 ga. wire sufficient? My buss is similar to Lons except my PolyPhasers are outside.

Wildrat,

10 or 12ga will work whatever you have on hand.

I used copper 14ga from what was left over from running a longwire for my shortwave. Soldered lugs on them. Seems to work nice.

The more surface area the better it'll handle RF. Ideally it should have more surface area than the shield of the coax you are using. That's so it'll be used for RF ground rather than the coax shield. Wide and flat copper ribbon is ideal, but copper braid will work as well.

Thanks Ya'll,
I've got a bunch of 8 and 10 ga. insulated copper wire I got cheap. I don't like the insulation used on the wire but it'll be good for grounding the equipment to the buss bar.

Thanks Again,
Wildrat
