Anyone here have the KL 400 amp?..i just got mine today but why is there no bracket for it to mount it???????????????

They do not come with one. Some aluminum sheet metal will work fine from your local hardware store. If you do it right you can make a bracket/fan housing at the same time.

I agree with the good tech 671. PUT THE FAN!!!

Computer stores sell 12v computer box, computer power supply fans. Get one and put it pumping air over the heat sink. Wire it to come on every time you switch the amp on.

I have a Palomar 400 and the c CB shop drilled 4 small holes in the amp and 4 holes in the bottom part of my Connex. Removed the speaker ( I always used a external speaker which I think sounds better ) and the amp worked good on the bottom of the radio. Had that set up for a long time and the covers were the same as the UNIDEN 76'S and could switch around. PS used 4 small screws with lock washers and nuts. Ran this set up for years and never came loose. Rich
