hey, my stepdad is getting a uniden PC-122 for his truck. i used to run a PC-122 and i have found that running a mic with good bass response seems to get me through the noise better. i ran mine from the house so i used the turner +3. i also find that while listening mobile, stations with more bass are easier to listen to over the clanks and clatter from my truck. now my stepdad doesnt need anything fancy (or stupid) like echo or roger beeps, we just want to get it as close to broadcast quality as possible. any mic suggestions? |

I'd recommend a Astatic 575 handheld. Power mic that has an adjustable tone. Good quality audio. Now, you mentioned his truck. Depending on the background noise level, he may want to run a noise cancelling power mic, such as an Astatic Road Devil. If you really want broadcast quality, might try a Heil handheld but not sure if the expense would be worth it. Those Astatics are a great sounding mic for a CB radio. Just my input that fits your description of what he wants. Alsworld |

I just got a Workman DM-461, it is just your average power mic, but has good audio. they run about $25. |

Astatic D104M6C is my choice, and really love it, it makes a difference for me, mostly when I am sitting still in the mobil, on the bank.of the lake |

I put a heil #5 cartridge in my 2950DX mic, getting excellent reports. total cost less than $30.00 |
