I use this mic and recommend it to everyone.

True it is an Echo Mic but I just barely move the control to OPEN and leave it there.

I dont think anyone in the last 6 months on the CEF Net's have noticed it is an Echo Mic and the Clarity and sound is GREAT and LOUD.

I have owend and used about evey hand mic ever made and have found NONE that can compare as yet.

6 out of 9 Local CEF Member's all use this mic and LOVE IT!

I even recommend that the Forummaster start carrying this mic for the Copper Member's.

Just my 2 cent's worth.

Lon

I'm partial to the Astatic 575m6, but they are being discontinued, so I'd get one soon.

i was suprised at 808's recommendation, i thought EVERYBODY liked the D104m6b. i have 2 and have had them both since 1995. i like them. i also have 2 cobra power mics that take a special 7.5 battery. i like them too, but dont know how they compare to the d104. oh yes there are also 2 Diesel power mics but at about $20.00 each i wonder if they really work. aj 174 central ohio

I vote for the astatic 575 B, the problem I have encountered with the d104 hand mic is it makes your voice sound deeper, and if you already have a bass voice like I do, it makes it hard for people to hear your voice. If you dont have a bass voice though, it is a nice mic.

I don't know that I would want a power mike in a vehicle, whenever I tried to use a power mike all I got was complaints. But of course I am relating to being in a tractor/trailor the noise that the complaints were about was the tractor noise or road noise.
I prefer a noise cancelling (non- power mike)
Anything but a diesel!
But this is my thoughts, I by no means am an expert.

Ditto 808!!! I actually just purchased the DM-452, and it is SO loud and clear I hung up the astatic d-104 I had. I run a modest (under 10 watt) base with an antron99, and when my wife or I use it locally, we get calls from all over trying to get our "big radio". Adjusted for just a hint of echo it must be heard to be believed, if you hear it you will be sold on it.............73's-Lee
