Look for a TVI filter that will fit YOUR individual need's ie: (Band coverage and Power) you will be using as most TVI filter's for CB will handle 1KW or 5KW or more. If you are not running more than a 1KW a TVI filter rated at 1KW should work if properly installed. If you are running more than 1KW then get a larger TVI Filter rated at 5KW or higher. Most TVI filters will have an Attenuation between 0 and 100 db. (The Higher the Better) Find one that will cover the band usage and maximum power you will be using. Most TVI Filters for CB/10 Meter use will cover 1.0 thru 30MHz. Also remember that improper station installation and (Proper GROUNDING of EVERYTHING!) ie: Radio, Meter's, Antenna Switches, Coax, Antenna's, Antenna Mast's, Towers, poles, anytenna rotor's if used all need to be grounded properly). Another MAJOR cause of TVI problem's is improper radio alignment/modifications also known as: (GOLDEN SCREWDRIVER) mods (clipping or removing mod limiters) is generally the cause of most TVI problems people encounter. Hope this help's, Lon ~ Tech808 ~ N9CEF CEF#808 ~ CEF HAM#33 ~ CVC#002 Tech808@copperelectronics.com
