I'm thinking of buying another wattmeter to replace the one I've got now. I was just wondering what you guys use or recommend? I'd like one that will read peak and average wattage. Something that is fairly correct and has SWR and Modulation functions as well. Is that Dosy meter with the frequency counter on it any good or is it a waste of money?
Yes I know DOSY isn't the best meter out there but I'm not looking for that or I'd buy a BIRD. |

A very good meter that covers a lot of bands is a JTWVUHF which is sold under several names. It goes 2 - 500 mhz and 5 to 400 watts and does SWR.
Measured against both my bird #43's its very close.

i gotta dosy that was measured asgainst my friends bird the dk is right on but the pep
is off.on mine the swr is way off.i gotta mfj

I've been using the palstar 150 and its a great meter, check it out on *ham reviews.. I've recently purchased the radiocraft 3000 pro meter, this is the highest quality meter available, rates with the bird meters, its expensive but quality usually is.. this meter is also on *ham reviews where 20 people rated it tops.. |

After reading my previous post I wanted to change it to say that the radiocraft 3000 pro is one of the best meters available today, I know I was going to catch flack from the bird guys..lol.. |
