How much wattage will a K40 american antenna (wire whip) take on AM and ssb? Just curios if a Boomer 250 would burn the cap. out? |

I have run 80Watt AVG and 350 PEP through mine about 2 yrs with no change in SWR. Maybe others will post also. I hear no more than 100Watt AVG.

Since no one wants to answer this, I would not go over 500w peak, and that might even be pushing it.
