ok here goes I just bought a astatic 636L mic Ive wired it for the standard 4 pin cobra when i screw it on the radio {a cobra 29 plus} it makes the radio key up with out pushing the button I put the same mic on my galaxy and it works fine Ive even bought a new mic plug still the same |

Do you have the stock mic for the cobra? If so, does it work properly? Yes, the mic wiring is the same for the Cobra 29 as the Galaxy Mobiles. See if something is not right with the Cobra mic jack inside the radio. Sounds like something is shorting somewhere.
