I have a slight issue with my Voyage VR9000 in the mobile.

I had it in my base with a 2 pill fatboy, no problem.

I hook it up in my mobile it was fine.

Soon after it started to get alternator whine.
I play with the power connector it goes away.
Now its there for good.
Again in the base its fine.
I put my 2 pill amp in the mobile and when I key the voyage I just get a horrible squeal from it.
I hooked my 2950 in the mobile and it sounds cherry.
Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Do you run the power wires direct to the battery? Sometimes you can run the negative cable to the chassis and that will help. Just remember to use the shortest possible wires you can.
The amp will need well grounded with the shortest possible power cables, neg to chassis and of course a very low swr is important. good luck

if you look up the mod on this radio here on this site it tells you what to do there is a chock (big one)right behind the mic. plug on the board is where it is & tells you to move or pry it away from the plug its the only big one on the board to stop the rf feed back
