ok my brother in laws brand new out of the box cobra 148 (4 pin)he also bought new a superstar tornado echo mic brand new battery in the mic ...and if you turn the dyanamike past 9 oclock position it squeals not only through the speaker in his radio ,also on the transmit side.....
now if i put my road devil from my galaxy on his radio i crank the gain on the mic and radio wide open no squeal sounds great ..i put this echo mic on my galaxy i can turn my radio wide open no squeal sounds great......
there is an adjustment on the back of the mic in question that controls the talkback and i made sure that was all the way down, when i looked at the wires on the plug it is wired like this ...1-yellow,blu,shield2-white3-red4-black
im thinking this ios related to the talkback function so if i can figure out which (yellow or blu )wire is for said talkback i can disconnect it and all will be well hopefully..but i wont have the mic and radio in my hands again until next weekend so...ummm
any suggestions are welcome |
