Jimmy, you will enjoy that radio. Somewhere I have the mods for it,I'm sure most of thses guys have em handy. It'll channel out like the old 148's. I believe you'll get 26.815(starting on channel 15) and up thru the regular channels(including 2 or 3 rc channels) in the "low position". 27.405 and up in one of the " high positions" and 27.605 thru the beginning of the 10 meter ham band on the other " high position". Have fun.

Wow Madison that brings back memories. I had a President Madison that had a extra channel mod but the way I had mine done was I had all above 40 and I didnt miss any channels having 3 switches on the bottom 2 3 position switches and 1 2 position switch going to 28.095 is where mine cut off at. They are great radios you will have a blast with it. Sorry to say mine was lost in a tornado.

Sorry to say the tech that done mine is now in that great radio room in the sky Jimmyd. The guy that did mine was a wiz at the 8719 chip he could get channels that others could only dream of. He also was a firm beliver in a low DK and lots of modulation but not so much as to be distorted.
The tornado that took my radio was in 2000 and it took a antenna with it. it just got my storage building.
