I recently aquired a Phantom Base amp,and not knowing the first thing about amps i could use some know-how. on the face of the amp it has switches for on\off,standby, and SSB along with a DC milliampres meter. Also it has knobs for tune, drive tune, and load. Now not knowing anything about amps, what are all these knobs and switches for, and how do you set them?
Any assistance greatly appreciated in advance.

Hey Tommy! Make sure you put the cover back on, be careful. Tube amps are extremely dangerous even when unplugged.
First thing you need to do is find an owners manual or do some research on what amount of drive power is needed for the amp.
The on/off switcj is easy.
Standby is what you use while the amp is warming up or just....standing by waiting until you decide to talk.
Tune and load is adjusted each time you change channels to get the best performance from the amp. Matches the circuits to the freqs being used.
Drive tune I'm not to sure about. Might be an output adjustment.
Get plenty of replys and info before you get started.
Most of all be careful poking around inside there. Many people have been killed from electrical shock by a tube amp, even unplugged.
KEEP IT REAL!

How do you go about adjusting load and tune? The only Phantom manual I can find is for a Triple Stage.
