I have an old tube type amp, it has brand new tubes. I hook it up inline my recieve drops from 7-9 to 2-4. It doesn't matter whether or not it is on. It will key up but puts out no power. Any ideas on were to start would be a great help. I don't know a whole lot about the older tube type amps.

first check your 3 foot coax cable to amp then make sure the actual coax connector on the amp is not broken!! also make sure the recieve preamp isnt on on the amp. it may be shot and create signal lose. make sure the antenna goes to the antenna and radio input goes to radio....this has happened to me. check these and keep us informed. good luck. try different jumpers.
