Hi, I got a new version RCI2970DX with the small heat sink and cooling fans from someone used but only a year old or so. It is converted and I was just wondering if anyone knows what the max safe power output adjustment is. I want turn it up if it is not already.

Thanks

it has 2-2sc2290's in it, it'll sound best doing about 40 watts dead key on AM & 160 watts PEP. many claim 200+, but they're probably the ones who slam the door in the neighbor's face when they get tvi complaints....or they have to change the finals from time to time. you won't see any differnce between 150 & even 225.

I have one and it swings over 200w ...on SSB. Don't know about AM as i don't use it. I usually keep the RF power down to about 12 o'clock as a warranty return from here would take forever. Still at that it punches over 100w so i am more than happy. Oh...it was tuned by Paul the Copper Tech before i received it. So i know it's on the boil.
