Just notice this today during the 6 meter CEF net.
As I was calling and listing to the 6 meter CEF net I was looking over the Copper forum like I do every sunday during the nets, Well while on 6 meter and strolling thru the copper pages my mouse stroll wheel puts out a tx that "ONLY" on 6 meter it picks it up.
If I stroll (turn the wheel) slow I pick up about a S-1 and the faster I stroll the wheel the more S-units I pick up.
The fastest I can turn the wheel I got up to S-5 units on the radio.
Any thought behind this?
Mouse is a Hp 3 button. Radio is Icom 706mkllg.
Note: only does it on 6 meter.
Do I have a 6 meter Amp Mouse?
The faster the mouse runs the more power I get out on 6 meter? hehe
But this is a True Story thats happening with me, So I like to read your thoughts on this.

Its probably a cordless mouse which can give you some grief with harmonics,as far as getting more power output with the mouse I highly doubt it , mouse harmonics just messing up your radios meter.

It's not cordless, and the power output part was a joke. The rest is a true fact happening.
I will buy the harmonics statement.
This is really not a problem as I don't need to be strolling if I'm trying to listen on 6 meter as thats the only band it happens on.

The mouse cord is resonant on 6m?? Remember inside that mouse is a clock circuit that counts the pulses of the wheel wehn it turns. Not sure what frequency the clock is on, but I'll be its a sub-harmonic of 6m..

George, What if you click and drag? Might try a new mouse.
Or you can mod the mouse!!!Get some 100 ohm resistors and solder them in somewhere, clip and snip anything inside that don't look important. Remember to run ground straps from the mouse to an 8 foot copper rod!

Based on the one dead one I have disassembled they use a clock circuit that times the actual pulses from the led as you turn the wheel. The more pulses in a given time the quicker the action on the computer. Another circuit detects which direction you spin the wheel. All this is built into one little IC.

Hey Kenny it does it with Click and Drag too.
A Mouse with a mind of it's own, it really does like 6 meter too as thats the only band it does it on.
This is starting to really be just funny now.
Again I'm not spending the time nor money on another mouse or clip and snip.
It's not like something thats there all the time or not knowing whats doing it.
I just don't use the mouse when I'm useing 6 meter, problem took care of.
But Kenny I do think I'll get rid of the mouse straping him to a 8 foot copper rod when lighting strike....hehhe zzzzzzzzzzap!

Got a new mouse and everything is well again.
I did find that clock circuit with a bad IC.
