Where can I get one of these thrust brgs I see on some of the posts here. I know it will take a lot of the load off of the rotor.

I use a NET rotor and it has its own brg
On 6 since 66

Hi there Catdriver
Measure the outside diameter of your mast pipe! Do this with a mic or caliper... For instance you come up with 1.250 thats 1.1/4 inch mast tubeing which is common! If its pipe you will get some odd sizeing dia also. you can get metric bearings to fit the pipe. What you do is buy a cup bearing that will slide over your mast pipe with a locking collar. (You can buy these bearings at most auto parts stores) Ok i hope that helps you find what bearing you need. Then what you need to do is unbolt the mast pipe from rotor, lift mast pipe a 1/2 inch or so and put cup bearing facing up and tighten cup screw - most have 2 set screws. I also suggest grease on the bearing and cover with a old rubber tire intertube cut to size to fit over the bearing a simple stainless steel radiator hose clamp will work. Then tighten rotor clamps and that will take the load off your rotor. Kinda simple and cheap way to save money! And it not hard to do!

Catdriver you can also do this with a regular bearing also! Use washers to lift bearing above tower top , That will work also!
