my swrs go down when i turn my high drive 2 pill on,is this unusual for it to go from 1.6 down to 1.0 when box is turned on or is there a problem i am missing this is on 20 and on 40 its 1.1 and 1 its 1.2

In the chain from radio to antenna, where is the swr meter located?

When this drop occurs do you recalibrate the swr meter before taking the new reading??

In other words in order for any of us to give you an accurate answer we really need more information.

it is hooked up radio-2 pill-pdc 600-antenna and yes i always calibrate the meter

yes but is the meter between the radio and amp or between the amp and antenna??

Whereas the SWR shown with or with the amp on are nothing to worry about, I expect that the change you see is due to the switching circuit inside the amp, and the amps tuned circuits.

Out of curiosity, what SWR do you show if the amp is removed completely form the equation and you go direct from SWR Meter to the radio?? If it is lower than the 16. you see with the amp inline but turned off, that would suggest that the increase comes about from the switching that bypasses the amp.
