the 1446 is similar to the srf 3749 and 454. The 450,455,455a are all smaller power transistors.
Be advised that all you mention are high gain low input transistors. The srf series and 1446 are even moreso. A dual final radio will drive a pair of 1446's to their max reliably.

I know the 1446 roughly equals the srf 3749 according to rf parts 2000 catalog, but the 1446 pill is a 211-07 casestyle while the 3749 is a 211-11 casestyle.Does that mean the 3749 can take more abuse? They're identicle in gain and input/output.

I throw a solid 32 watts at 4 1446s and get a solid 360 out. They are very linear my modulation is crisp and clean at 10 mi. or 90 mi.
