Hello Tech forum,
I purchased a 2517 recently from the store. I seen that for an extra fee you could get the radio tuned up. Can the 2517's receive be turned back a bit? I have an old 5 band Galaxy saturn that has a noise blanker that is far better than the brand new 2517. Don't get me wrong I like the
new 2517 but it can't filter out the static like the 5-bander can. If I send the radio back can you make the noise blanker work correctly like the 5-bander? There is just no contest between the 2. The galaxy 5-bander rejects the static better. Even with the NB switch on the 2517 on you can still hear the pulses. Can this be fixed?
Thank you,
Brian

Radio_geekin,

The Option: Expand, Align and Tune has to be purchased at the time of sale.

Here are the areas that the Copper Tech will align.

• RX (Receive) alignment per manufacturer specifications
• TX (Transmit) alignment per manufacturer specifications
• PLL Synthesizer alignment per manufacturer specifications
