There ARE aftermarket parts .....

If you can TRUST them is another matter...

BTW check the grounds under mounting screws they have been known to become flakey.

I LOVE mine its the best non DSP radio i have ever owned but YAESU wanted out of fixing them ..... and hung us out to dry ...

Well ive been working 20m with the ole 100 and the power supply went into a bad hum looked down and it was pegged out ! so i shut it down ~! started the power supply back up and started turning radios back on ! all the radios was good till a turned the 100 back on ! and then it happened ! HUMM and power supply shut down !
now this is the kicker Bruce the mrf-455s melted down and made a bad short ! now only if i would of fixed the darn fan when i had it rebuilt ! LOL but after all everthing has happend to this radio the uhf vhf still works and looking for a matched pair of MRF-455's to put in it ! LOL

good thing ive got a FT 450 to use ! LOL

Allagator, the Yaesu FT-857D is the new version of the FT-100. Check them out. I'm really impressed with them.
