Hello me again, I recently went to the CB shop in my area and asked about a stinger board like what is on here at copper. he said that it will only work on a striker, cobra 29,25 ,and Galaxy cb. The stinger board that copper sells is it compatable with all cb raidos?

If now why??

Flying_cloud,

If it was me I would find another CB shop to go to.

The Stinger board is very "dumb" and cannot tell what Radio, Make or Model it is being installed in.

And it was not designed for any specific radio, make or model.

As long as you follow the installation instruction's and specification's.

SPECIFICATIONS
Transistor : (4) RM3
Frequency Range : 25-30MHz AM/FM
Input Power : Recommended -> 2.5-3watts max -> 4 watts
Output Power : 100-150w PEP
Size : 4" x 4" x 1"
Fuse : 5amp

Hope this help's

Flying_cloud ~ Jonathan,

I am Not an expert at anything and no one will ever hear me say that I know everything about anything as I am still learning.

But over the years since the 60's I have built, used, worked on, installed and tested 1000's of radio's & radio products.

I only hope that by sharing my personal experience and knowledge that I have gained with others in the radio hobby that it can be of help.

Bob,

OK you have me stumped now.

By (mains) do you mean a regular final and not MOSFET final radio?

Bob , nice to see you back posting .
The PSU inside a mains powered radio will most likely have a current handling of about 3 -5 amps max which will not be enough for the stinger board although you could always replace the internal PSU with a larger one if you really need the board fitted in there or power it from an external PSU .
