I had echo board put in and at times when the mike is keyed the radio chirps real loud. do you know what might be causing this? only did it a couple of times.

Usually those who put after market echo boards inside a radio do not trim the audio lines down to "just the length needed". Instead they coil it up inside the radio and the echo board has several audio gain stages on it that causes feedback. Tell your tech to cut the wires as short as possible and it will dissapear..
