I'm getting interference on my radio from the router at intervals of about 300Khz. Its stronger on some freqs than others. If I unplug the router goes away. I've moved the router 4 times already and seems no matter where I move it am still getting the interference. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

The problem is most likely the power supply. Try filtering all the leads (ferrite chokes) that go to or from the router.

The frequency you mentioned leads me to suspect that it is using a switch mode style of power supply, and these are known (in cheap versions at least) to generate noise like you would not believe.

I was messing around with this earlier today and found out if I unplug the ethernet cable but the router is still plugged in the noise will stop. Tried switching the ethernet cables but with any cable the noise is there. Do you think a shielded ethernet cable will help any?

place a wire over the cable by slowly twisting it and ground both ends one to the computer one to the router box.

IF a shield wire is going to help this should show some improvement.

There is an ethernet cable that runs from the cable modem to the router. I unplugged one end from the router.

bruce, that is not feasible. The router and the computer are in seperate rooms and have a wireless connection at 2.4GHZ. The cable coax runs from the wall to the cable modem. An ethernet cable connects the cable modem to the router. Than it goes to two seperate computers via wireless connection.

What brand/model is the router?

I have a Linksys 2.4ghz Wireless G router not more than 2'
away from my radio and I have no noise what so ever.

Train_man, Thats excellent you have no noise on your radio from your router. However I still do. I Did a search on google about this problem and it seems a lot of operators are having this issue with linksys routers. I think I'm just going to buy another brand of router.
