Why do two of the same Superstar DM-452 mics have different colored wiring? I have a DM-452 that is a factory wired 4-pin and it works on a Galaxy DX99v and the Pres AR-144. I am trying to wire my friends 5-pin DM-452 to a 4-pin conn to work on his President.
I wired the 4 pin like this:
1. shield & black
2. white
3. red
4. blue

The radio transmits and receives, however the audio is very low, and this mic won't do any thing on my Galaxy now. So something is wrong in the way I have it wired. It worked just fine as a 5-pin mic on a Grant XL.

Please, can anyone offer me some help with this?
