I picked up a new / old stock mic the other day on fleaBay for an old Sears Roadtalker. It is a 5 pin DIN style mic. Anyhow did not realize the mic was a power mic until I got the thing. I have no idea what type of battery this thing takes and can't find any info on the web. Please help....Newtron power mic?

Off hand if it does not take the standard 9 volt battery I would guess it takes the 7 volt round battery.

Copper Part#
B30-00004 BATTERIES 7 VOLT BATT.
[B30-00004] $1.99

Looks like a penlite battery but about 1/2 the size.

Hope this help's,

I think I have seen a few, and they run off a AA battery I think. Not that powerful, but better then nothing. I haven't seen one in a little while though.

The AA fits...would a 7 volt be about the same in size? There is no LED to indicate power when keyed. Guess I just need to plug into radio and try it. Thanks for the help!!

7 volt is shorter, and fatter then a AA, and there is no light, that's because the AA is not as good as a 9volt. But hook it up and see, remember it's no Turner or D104 mic, so it's no power house!
