Is there a base antenna out there that you can run from 26 to 29 meg. and not have to adj. every time. Just set in the middle and go.

Just one vertical type- Imax 2000

If you want a wire type antenna, check out the Barker & Williamson broadband folded dipole.

MY A-99 runs from 15m to 10m with a SWR below 1.6 the whole way.

Tech 833 is right on the B & W 90 folded dipole antenna. Used one for years (OK I used to sell them in Australia) and even an one INSIDE a large steel building during a trade show. I was about a foot lower that the roof and over two days I was able to work many stations on 80 upto 10m, including my weekly 80m Sunday Net where the closest ham was 200 miles from my location.

I have discovered some strange things about the B & W 90 in that in most locations they seem to work better if sloped ala Terminated Tilted Folded Dipole Style.

I can end with once I move to a place that has the room, I WILL be buying another one.

i built a 1/4 wave ground plane with 1 3/4 inch alum. tubing 8' 2" long with 4 ground radials at 8'5" , with a hairpin match and have a 1.4 at channel 1 and a 1.6 swr at the very top end of the 10 meter fm part of the band .. not much gain , but i was shooting for bandwidth .
