On my Astron RS 35 M power supply the amp meter is going bad dont know what happen it reads 2 amp draw at full power using my icom 718 and the same with my 5054 they both put out a bit over 100 watts. The lights on both radios dont dim one bit when transmitting at full power. What maked me think its the meter is you can tap on the amp meter and it will come up to 16 amp draw or I can key the 5054 on Am and transmit with the 718 and the meter will show 18 amp draw after you unkey the 5054. Had a tech in indiana check it out and he said there was nothng wrong with it.
Checked the voltage on the back to see if there is any big drop in voltage and it only drops 2 tenths of a volt. Both the voltage and the amp meter dim slightly but I have been told thats normal.
What I would like to put in place of those 2 analog meters is LCD meters. Does anyone have a idea where I can buy tham and how much trouble are they to install. Want to make sure that everything is working as its suppose to.
