I use one for ten meter from the mobile. Works good.If you want to use it fixed, then add a couple ground radials.

Not for the CW portion of the band.

I have a 102 inch whip over 102 inch ground planes here and it matches over the whole band. Lowest SWR is about 28.3 MHz.

wow i didnt know that.i just knew it was
perfect for cb band. and being 10 meters is slightly higher in mega hertz i always figured
the whip would be about 4-8 inches too long.
never thought bout the cw portion however.thank you tech 833 learn something new today

People need to try out their cb antenna on 10 meters before "selling" them and buying 10 meter antennas. I made the mistake of selling a PDL II and Antron 99 when I got my first ticket back in 1990. Some work on 10 meters without a tuner with acceptable swr and the others just need a twik of the tuner or if you abandon cb just shorten them a might. I made an expensive mistake. The 9 foot whip is the best mobile antenna you could probably find for 10 or 11 meters.
