The Texas Star site shows that the 350 HD needs 30 amps at 350 watts out. The Astron 50 VS shows on their site that it produces a continuous output of 37 amps and surge of 50 amps.

As Cactus 29 stated, if you use the type of radio that this amp is designed for you should have no problems with your power supply. If you try to overdrive it with a radio producing more than the recommended output you could drive the amplifier past saturation and your power supply would start to fail. Remember pushing it past saturation might cause the numbers to climb on your watt meter but the saturated wattage output is overheating your 2879 "pills" and most likely the wattage you are seeing isn't being transmitted on the desired frequency as a result. So operate the amplifier as designed and the Astron 52 VS will be more than enough to operate the Texas Star 350 HD.
