Several timesa we have had questions on this Forum about decent station ground for shack on higher stories of a building, and mention have been made of devices to tune the ground. Now all of these, that I have seen need to be manually tuned (there maybe automatic one out there).

While compiling a training article for work on EMI/RFI my referecner material kept mention the need for a good RF Ground, and this got me thinking (dangerous I know), but for that ground on a station too far from true ground, would an automatic ATU work to tune the ground for the band being used?

I'll be honest, I do not know thew answer, but it might produce some nioce discussions
