Hello I am new to the forum and to radio "hobbie". I have operated mobile cb's for years and am currently in process of self teaching to repair and improve my own equipment. Also in process of setting up my first base station and workbench. Been reading alot of the forum and learning so much. Thanks to all contributers of factual and useful info. Really enjoy and like so far. This is my first post and I hope this is the appropriate placement. My first question is about the books from Lou Franklin, would these benefit me to purchase. My point being with todays technolgy and yesterdays reference. Any guideance would be much appreciated. Also any suggestion of other books, etc. Thanks.

Lou Franklin books are the best! I can't recommend them enough. He is the Dahlia Lama of CB radio tech and explains everything in a way that is easy to understand. Buy'em up you'll be glad you did.

I have a degree in electronics technology and before I went to college, I learned a lot from Lou Franklin.
