Hello, i have a president washington 5 pin base, I sent it off to have the clarifier opend up and a tune up. Now the rx comes on and runs about 5 min then fads out. Tried to push on the board to see if it was maybe cold solder joint, It made some noise then quit, wiggled some wires around and it made noise then quit. I would send this back but 2 times to this guy is enough, I had to wait 4 months to get it back the last time and he didn't fix anything. He did tell me that he ran it 3 hours and it worked perfect. I checked the TX and it is puting out about 15 watt lsb and modulation swing into the red. I had my wife talk into it and I went ou into the car and the radio sounded really good. It just doesn't recieve. I can hear a slight hiss in the speaker.
