I bought a new superstar dm 1000 tornado echo mic for my stock galaxy dx959 when I key it up with any amount of gain it makes a terrible squalling noise.
Does anyone know what is causing this and how can I remedy it? I've run out of idea's.

if ya tring to use talkback in radio it will
squeal this is called feedback. i dont know of
any cure other than no talkback.and even on
radio with talkback off ive seen them squeal.
try lowering gain on the radio itself .cant say it will help though

Don't use an echo mike.. Radios were not really designed for them.
