Fellow down the road is selling a 5/8 omni antenna $50.00
He doesn't know anything else about it other than it is 35 years old.
It looks to be approx. 20 ft. It has 4-5 ft. radials and at the top are 3 diamond squarish wire shapes. I would like to find some specs on this unit. Can anyone help
Thanks

The Hy-gain Penetrator has 9 foot radials and the static top hat is three little short wires. I believe all of Hy-Gain groundplanes had those wires on top. One of Radio Shack's Archer antennas had those three little diamond shaped boxes on top. I remember another antenna had those also but the name escapes my old timers memory at the moment.

I do not know the answer to that but I have a question for you Dale. You once told me what time you are on side band and the channel. Would you please let me know again. I got my beam up and perhaps on a good day we might make contact. Sprinterlight, did you do a Google on old antenna's and their picture's and compare?

Antenna Specialists M-227 Mighty Magnum III

this one had some diamond shape wires at the top. came out in about 1971. you might look it up on google and see if it looks like the one you are talking about.

Sounds like a JC Penny too. It had short GP radials and a hat.
