I am getting ready to upgrade from my standard cb radio, which would be a better buy, RCI 2950DX, President Lincoln II, or Stryker 955. I like the reviews on all 3 so im confused on what is the differences between the 3 and if one is really better than the other.

My 2950DX brings more accolades and favorable comments than any other radio. I cannot rate, good or bad, the other radios that you contemplate. However, the RCI is so good at pulling-in weak stations, and so efficient at transmitting a stable plus clear signal, that it would likely be improbable to find another radio in its price range that would top its performance. Versatility from the adjustable power range and mic gain allows to add a variety of microphones and power amps. Some say the 2950DX has no punch in AM mode: something to consider if you hover on AM. For my DX use in SSB, I will say the 2950DX has the best performance-to-price ratio of any other transceiver I've owned through 40 years in the hobby. It retain$ value and is ready for 28Mhz at the moment your tech ticket arrives in the mail. Two cons: 1) Pesky white noise and 2) the small LED meter leaves a lot of guessing room when providing signal strength reports. I bought mine from Coppers (Christened by tech Paul). Good luck with your upgrade initiative!! 73's de Wire Saber

I agree with Wire the 2950DX is the best bang for the buck! It's really super on SSB. And if I wanted more power I would add a KL-203. The 2 work very well. And you'll have about 100 watts AM. And 180 SSB. Just feed the 203 with less than 2 watts. About 1/2 to 1 watt is best.

Perfect, thank you both, I am going to go with the 2950DX, I already have the KL-203 so I am all set with that.
