I apologize if this is a repeat post, my browser is having issues. Anyhow, this is my first time setting up a base station 11m setup. I'm using a Uniden Washington base radio and a Solarcon A99 base antenna. The distance from my antenna to the radio will be about 45-46 feet. My questions are:

1. Would ca-400 be good to use? Or should I go with RG 213?

2. Would it be wise to keep a swr meter hooked up to the radio?

3. What would be the recommended length of coax from the antenna to the radio?

Yes the CA-400 would work. The 213 will also. On a short run as yours both will work. Just be sure that your coax is long enough. And put the antenna as high as you can get it. The higher the better you will talk.
