Hi, I have a strange issue with with a Cobra 29 WX NW ST. Every time power is first connected, such as turning on the power supply, BEFORE turning on the radio, it briefly powers on, 1-2 seconds, loudly playing a weather channel, then turns off. Then when I turn on the radio, everything is fine and normal. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have one that acts like this also and will only work intermittently. When I turn on my power supply even if the radio is switched off it plays the weather channel very loud and tx / ex works fine but will go away for a few minutes than come back sometimes or it will come back next time I turn it on than the processes starts over again. I suspect a cold Soldering joint or an overheating component but problem is so intermittent very hard to find out what is causing it. The only thing that happens every single time for the first second or two is the weather channel blasting loud when power is first applied to the unit when power is applied to the radio when it's first turned on. Anyone have any info on this I would be thankful to have any help at this point.
