I have a Midland 5001Z and I can barely be heard. I have a great signal, but no modulation. On a scale of 1-5 I get a one. I adjusted the mod pot, but no help. What do I need to replace, beside the Radio? Any ideas?......

did you try a different mic? your adjusting rv2 correct?

try a power mic?? superstar 452 is a great choice and has a fair price too
astatic road devil is another good one but imho the clarity isnt as good
