I just received this mic this Monday. I did talk to Paul on the trouble I was having, he suggested trying different settings and back things down. The problem is I have an intermittent static reported to me and I can see it on the watt meter. I am using this mic on a RCI 2995. It appears to work the best on the low Comp but after a day or 2 it will start this static. I shut it off wait a bit and go back to low comp and all is well till the next time. I like this mic and hate to send it back, any thoughts on whats going on and/ or what to do sort of giving up on it.
Thanks

An update to this problem. I switched over to my 2517 and the JCD-201M works well. Using on the 2995 I was told it sounded like I was getting RF in transmission. I do use a 4 pin to 6 pin adapter when in use on the 2995.

I ordered another mic cord wired 6 pin for the 2995 and still have the static issue. Any idea what is going on here?

Thank you for answering, however I ordered another mic cord from Coppers and had them wire it for the 2995 6 pin. It does the same thing as before.

Yes I have tried low mic gain, low Comp, tried high comp and manual. If you key up with out saying anything you can see the noise in the meter on the radio and watt meter. The longer you keep it keyed up the higher the noise level. It will work with the 2517, no issue at all ( weird ). I figured it was a defective Mic till I tried on the 2517. So It is useless for what was wanting to do with.

Problem solved, A firm tightening of the microphone jack, especially radio end corrected the problem.
