Hello. I have a very early DX 88HL with serial 007987. It has a whine when the freq. counter is turned on through the speaker and it's there when tx on AM. With counter off has no whine. I tried the ceramic disk cap trick on the large freq. board chip pin 7 and 8 and to ground with no avail. Any body have a real world fix? Thanks much guys. Mike. KC0CNK
