My mast pipe will be about 31 feet from the ground. With the antena on top. I will cemented the base into the ground, and have it also bracketed to side of house.

What is the best mast pipe to use? A local metal manufacturing company wants to charge me $1800 for schedule-80 pipe at that length.

Some other bloke recommends Rohn Telescoping Pipe. But the Rohn documentation says: "Telescoping Masts are not recommended for commercial, CB or beam antenna installations."

The A99 is a CB Antenna so that makes me nervous Maybe the Rohn pipe will bend under a heavy wind.

Without knowing how high up you are going to place the support bracket, can not really recommend what to use. The A99 is not very heavy, so you don not have to go nuts.

The key word is BEAMS. The A99 is a vertical not a beam. I have had HF Verticals on push up masts made from Schedule 40 PVC pipe, with no issues

I use to use push up mast and when I did I always used guide wire. My push up mast came with ring's spaced along the push up mast for the wire or cable if you like to connect to. I would use a metal mast.
