Hello my friend, I am planning on putting my three element 2 meter beam above my three element 11 meter beam . My 11 meter beam is horizontal and my 2 meter beam will be vertical. So how far above my 11 meter beam will I have to mount my 2 meter beam for best performance?

Tech833 may disagree but I would go with the 2m element tips at least 36 inches away from the 11M beam, and the more the better.

Simon is correct. For 2m, 36 inches is a full wave. However, the more separation, the better.

Thank you both for the very good advice. It will be a long time before I can do this now. I have been in a bad car accident and I need every one prayers.

What is the full wave for 70cm ? Also I live in a valley with tall mountain's surrounding me. My 2 meter/70cm antenna is 32 foot off the ground. Would it be to my advantage to increase the antenna higher ? If so how much higher would be needed ? By the way my antenna is a beam antenna.

70cm is 27.5 inches (roughly), so that is a full wave. A half wave is 13.75 inches.

833 - 36 inches is a half wave at 2m, not a full wave.
