Happy Holidays. As the title says I'm trying to look for the correct wiring combination from the RF Limited Xtreme 2018 mic to the RCI 2970n2 radio.
Wiring code for the mic goes like this.
black Ptt Common ground
shield Ground
Red Microphone audio output
White Ptt Transmit
Blue Ptt Receive
Ranger RCI 2970N2 mic wiring on Radio goes like this.
1 Ground Shield
2 Audio
3Transmit
4 Receive
5 Ch Up
6 Ch down.
Can you help by looking at wiring diagram of mic and radio the correct combo. I need the color to pin number wiring. Just want to make sure i have this done correctly. Thanks.... |

4]blue- not really need
5]nothing
6]nothing
i havent rver wired up this mic ...but ive done plenty of rci radio id start here. hopfully more will chime in as i said i havent tried wiring this mic/radio combo

I know this is not the subject here but Dale, have you made your ham license ? I can't remember if you said you had or not. on the question ask about the wiring Dale had helped you but I urge anyone with a dx series radio this include the 2970n2 for it is the same to get a service manual from RCI. This will cover the RCI 2950 DX THE 2985 DX THE 2995 DX THE 2970N2 They don't cost that much. But , worth every penny |
