I was wondering if I would still have good result"s if I mounted the beam at a 45 degree angle? You know between vertical and horizontal. I am hoping to get the best of both world"s like this. I know there will be a compromise to live with. However I was wanting some imput from other"s that had done this before I do it . Also I would like any of the other TECH'S advice. REMEMBER WITH THIS BEAM IT IS EITHER MOUNTED JUST VERTICAL OR HORIZONTAL. I have heard of other's doing this but I never heard them say how well it done |

Has anyone tried this and what success did you experience? If anyone had please let me know. I can't afford to get a vertical and horizontal beam |

How about it anyone and ANY TECH'S. Can anyone tell me if this would work well?? Surely someone has tried this. My beam is 750 foot away on top of a mountain. Fall is here and soon winter. I would like to know about this before the weather turns bad. So mounting my Maco 103 at 45 degree angle will that give me good results being between vertical and horizontal?? For now I cant buy a beam that does both vertical and horizontal. Some people use vertical antenna's and some horizontal. My thinking is if I mount it at a 45 degree I can compromise and still get good result's |

I do not see any reason it would not work, with the caveat of some loss do to the angle.
Why not just try it and see how goes?

What it is some people use vertical and some horizontal. So with this being mounted in a fixed position it is difficult to talk with those that are vertical with much success. I have it mounted horizontal. The reason I have not tried it yet is I am old and not in the best of health and it is 750 foot back on top of the mountain. So I have to make sure that what I do is right for it is now hard for me to go and re due it if it does not work well. That is why I ask everyone here and the TECH'S for advice. It is hard on a fixed income to buy in this hobby everything we need. I am also a ham operator and as you all know this hobby is not cheap. Thank you all for being there for me with the advice.
